Luxury Car Mats UK
Luxury car mats are cut from the same OEM-specific patterns as our standard range — same fixing positions, same outline, same exact fit for your make and model. The difference is in the pile: denser, thicker, with a soft underfoot feel that stands up properly rather than flattening under foot traffic. Stitched edging is included as standard on every luxury set.
They're the most popular choice for the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Mercedes E-Class, Volkswagen Passat and Jaguar XF — vehicles where the factory interior is finished to a level that a standard mat would visibly undercut. If you paid for a well-appointed cabin, a luxury mat is the practical choice to maintain it.
What makes a luxury car mat different
The pile weight and density are the primary difference. Standard carpet uses a practical pile that resists compression and cleans easily — it does the job well for most vehicles. Luxury pile is cut from a denser compound that springs back after foot pressure, doesn't flatten in high-traffic areas (the driver's heel point, in particular), and has a noticeably different feel when you step in. The stitched edging adds a clean finish to the perimeter that the standard overlock doesn't provide.
The heel pad option, available on the driver's mat, is especially worth considering on a luxury set. It's a reinforcing panel at the main wear point — where the sole of the shoe contacts the mat during acceleration and braking — that protects the pile from the concentrated wear that otherwise shows first on the driver's mat in any carpet set.
Popular luxury mat combinations
- BMW 5 Series / 7 Series: Black luxury pile with charcoal stitched edging — matches the factory seat stitching on most M Sport trim levels
- Audi A4, A5, A6: Black luxury pile with silver or grey stitched edging — picks up the aluminium trim common across the range
- Mercedes C-Class, E-Class: Black luxury pile with black leather-effect edging — close to the OEM accessory look at a fraction of the OEM accessory price
- Volkswagen Passat / Arteon: Charcoal luxury pile with stitched edging — understated and suited to the interior quality level
- Jaguar XF / XE: Camel or charcoal luxury pile — complements the leather interior options common to both models
Frequently asked questions
Does luxury pile flatten with use?
Less than standard pile, but some compression in high-traffic areas is normal over time. The heel pad option protects the driver's mat at the main wear point. Vacuuming against the pile direction periodically restores most of the depth.
Is stitched edging included or an extra?
Stitched edging is included as standard with every luxury set. You choose the edging colour — it can match the pile or contrast with it. No additional charge.
Can I get luxury mats for any make?
Yes — the luxury pile and stitched edging are available across all 90+ makes we cover. There's no restriction by vehicle type or model. Select your make above to find your model and configure from there.
What's the warranty on luxury mats?
18 months, the same as our standard range. If the pile degrades abnormally, the stitching fails or the fit is wrong, we replace the set. The luxury pile compound is rated for normal UK interior use and doesn't carry additional restrictions.
